Me: For me to ensure that I’m pulling up the right record, may I know the name, address and date of birth of the account holder?
Cx: My name is Lynette *******, I live in blah blah blah blah and my date of birth is on blah blah 1939.
Me: Am I speaking with the account holder?
Cx: Yes.
I was really patient with her. She was not mad nor racist but I know somewhere between the line, Lynette was frustrated. She said, she can’t access the Internet for three days and she’s somewhat blaming our service for that.
I did the normal troubleshooting for the said issue. We ping and did some optimizing her browser but that didn’t solve the problem. No other pc to try so we ended up performing a hard reset the modem and she, configured her Internet access in her modem. It may sound easy but nope, we had a lot of struggle communicating with each other. I can’t be too tekkie with her. I have to adjust my skills and let her tell me what are her physical connection setup so I would know if she’s logging in to the right page.
Funny thing here was she mentioned her modem was DLink but she told me she’s logged in to another page (not in the DLink page). I asked what page she’s in, she replied the IP address: 10.1.1.1-great!
The rest was history. It took me an hour to resolve her issue. Well, who would have thought that she can resolve the no browse issue with me?
She thanked my patience all throughout our conversation.
Good thing she was able to access her favorite game website. Well, actually I just missed my grandma Taling more. Every time I had a granny call, I always imagine that I’m speaking with my grandpa or grandma. With that, I always have this sweet, patient voice even though I’m already crying at my station.
I tried to get back my appetite and forced myself to eat lunch after her call. I was felling dizzy but I decided to freshen up and tried to divert what I’m feeling. It somehow helped but-oh well, I had a lot of bad calls after that which affected my health.
After my shift, I can feel my world was somewhat spinning but I told myself that I have to be strong coz I still have a long way to travel towards home.
Upon reaching my crib, I asked my aunt to take my blood pressure and viola-130/80.
So, I have to look my diet na. Shoot.
